Man Fleeing Police Jumps Fence and Into Prison

CLEVELAND – Police say a motorist fleeing officers in Cleveland abandoned his car and jumped a fence — landing in what turned out to be a prison yard.
Garfield Heights police say the chase started in that suburb early Monday over a traffic violation and reached speeds of 90 mph.
Police say that after a race through several communities, the driver and a passenger bolted from the car and headed for a fence.
They apparently did not realize it was on the outside of the state women's prison in Cleveland.
They were arrested along with two other passengers who also tried to flee.

Body of woman missing since January found in bed frame

The body of a woman missing since January was found Monday in the metal frame of a hotel bed, Memphis police said today. The room had been rented at least five times since her disappearance.

Sony Millbrook, 28, was found after a foul odor was reported coming from the room at Budget Lodge, 1533 E. Brooks. Her body was apparently stashed inside the metal box frame that sits directly on the floor. The box springs and mattress sit inside the metal frame.

The room had been cleaned by hotel staff numerous times since Millbrook was reported missing on Jan. 27 by her family when she didn’t pick up her children from school. The family checked the hotel where she had been living. The family said no one was in the room. The family returned to the room that day and Jan. 28 to box up and remove her personal items.

100 Year Old Woman Grows A Horn

A 101-year-old woman has grown a horn on her head - and now fears she's growing another one.

Zhang Ruifang, of Linlou village, in central China's Henan province, noticed a small lump on her forehead last year.

But it is now six centimetres long - and a small lump has now appeared on the other side of her forehead.

Her youngest son, Zhang Guozheng, 60, said the horn started as a patch of thick, rough skin on the left side of her forehead.

"We didn't pay too much attention to it at first," he said. "But as time went on it just grew and grew.

"And now there is something growing on the right side of her forehead and it seems quite possible that it's another horn."

Zhang has seven children - six boys and a girl - and many grandchildren. Her eldest son is 82-years-old.

The family live in a rural area and don't have the money to send her to hospital - but they say she is in no pain and enjoys a peaceful life.

Mysterious Hole In The Sky

A mystery 'Halo' cloud has appeared in the skies over Mexico, resulting in speculation of a UFO visit to the central American state.


The circular cloud was captured by an amateur cameraman above Mexico on February 11, and the video comments on YouTube suggest that it could be a hole punched in the sky by an alien craft.
It isn't the first time such a cloud formation has been spotted, after a similar mystery 'Halo' formation was spotted in the skies over Moscow late last year. 

Some internet UFO enthusiasts have maintained that the cloud is absolute proof of a UFO visit, while others think it may be a porthole through which alien ships could enter the Earth's atmosphere.

Even the Met Office has been left baffled by the mystery cloud, or its causes, with spokeswoman Sarah Holland stating: "Aircraft exhausts could play a part in the freezing process but the precise cause is unknown."

Some believe that the phenomenon in Mexico can be explained as a result of a meteorite punching through the cloud layer. UFO expert Nick Pope adds "The similarity with the so-called Halo cloud seen recently over Russia is striking. One possibility is that a meteorite or fireball punched through the cloud.

"This could explain the strange sound reported and the fact that a crater was apparently found." 

Coyote Frozen Solid Standing Upright Dead

DENVER -- A Silt, Colo., man made an amazing discovery this week: a coyote frozen solid in its tracks, standing upright next to a road near his home.
Seth Wettlin told TheDenverChannel.com that he ran out of gas on the way home Wednesday night and saw the coyote caught in his headlights on a dirt road, south of Silt.
At first, Wettlin thought it was frozen in fear, but upon closer inspection, he found it was literally frozen solid. The dead animal was standing in snow up to its chest, with its tongue hanging out.

Strange Hairless Animal Found

WISE COUNTY -- Animal experts are baffled by a small, hairless creature found dead on the golf course at Runaway Bay in Wise County.
Maintenance worker Tony Potter picked it up Wednesday morning. To him it looked a little like a raccoon with no hair.
"Definitely not a dog," he said.
Potter showed the remains to several people and then took it to a veterinarian's office in Bridgeport. He said no one there could identify it, either.
"My wife wouldn't let me keep it in the freezer," he said, so Potter gave it to the Center for Animal Research and Education, a big cat sanctuary in Bridgeport.

Floor Collapses In Weight Watcher Meeting

The floor of a Weight Watchers clinic in Sweden collapsed beneath a group of 20 members of the weight loss programme who were gathered for a meeting.

As the dieters queued to see how many pounds they had shed, the floor beneath them in the clinic in Växjö, in south-central Sweden, began to rumble, according to a report in The Local, Sweden's English-language newspaper.
"We suddenly heard a huge thud; we almost thought it was an earthquake and everything flew up in the air.

"The floor collapsed in one corner of the room and along the walls," one Weight Watchers participant told the Smålandsposten newspaper.
Soon, the fault lines spread around the room, and other sections of the floor gave way.

Sheep Gives Birth To Human-Like Face

A SHEEP gave birth to a dead lamb with a human-like face. The lamb was born in a village not far from the city of Izmir, Turkey.

Erhan Elibol, a vet, performed a caesarean on the animal to take the lamb out, but was horrified to see that the features of the lamb's snout bore a striking resemblance to a human face.

“I’ve seen mutations with cows and sheep before. I’ve seen a one-eyed calf, a two-headed calf, a five-legged calf. But when I saw this youngster I could not believe my eyes. His mother could not deliver him so I had to help the animal,” the 29-year-old veterinary said.

The lamb’s head had human features on – the eyes, the nose and the mouth – only the ears were those of a sheep.

Man Has Sex With Bunny

Animal lovers be warned - this report is not for the squeamish.

Abel Aguirre, 38, of Chelsea was convicted yesterday of animal cruelty for having sex with his roommate’s rabbit, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said. He faces up to 2 years in the House of Correction and a $2,500 fine at sentencing today.

Aguirre assaulted the rabbit June 1, 2008, district attorney spokesman Jake Wark said. Aguirre’s roommate told investigators she came home and found blood and clumps of rabbit fur on the bathroom floor and a claw belonging to the bunny. In Aguirre’s room, she found a used condom with rabbit fur on it. The rabbit was injured and bleeding.

CHICAGO - A Chicago man could be unwrapping the hundreds of Christmas gifts spread around his apartment for days, even weeks.
Trouble is, they aren't really presents. They're his own belongings meticulously wrapped by friends as a prank while he was out of town.
Louie Saunders' packages contain everything from couch cushions to the beer in his refrigerator.
His friend Adal Rifai masterminded the scheme after Saunders gave him a spare key. It took 16 people, 35 rolls of wrapping paper and eight hours to finish the job.
Saunders tells the Chicago Sun-Times he's only been able to unwrap about 10 per cent of the packages.


He jokes that the upside is that, with each package he unwraps, he finds something inside that's just what he needs.
